Full description of the position

We are seeking a full time Retail Sales / Design Associate. The primary purpose of this position is to help customers find the "best" flooring choice for their home or business.

Job responsibilities

Assist customers by:

• Completing face-to face, virtual, and electronic consultations
• Give design recommendations
• Providing expert level product knowledge (we provide training) to recommend products that will perform in the space
• Providing timely follow-up
• Providing estimated project cost using product selections and site measurements
• Other duties as needed to support the sales process and installation team

The right candidate will:

• Be a self-starter
• Be aware of current design trends
• Have a good sense of color
• Work well with others
• Be passionate about providing excellent service
• Be able to work on Saturdays (9 am-3 pm)

Required skills:

• Customer service experience: Have a customer first approach to working
• Office experience: answering phones, replying to emails, filing, etc.
• Good verbal and written communication
• Ability to multi-task
• No restrictions on lifting and bending

Desired skills:

• Design experience or construction industry experience
• Experience in retail sales
• Ability to read blueprints / plans

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
