Full description of the position

SUMMARY: U.S. Packaging & Wrapping is a growing packaging supply company seeking an applicant looking for a career with exciting opportunities.

Initially, Employees are expected to fill outbound orders, freight, and parcel, organize contract production runs, manage and accurately track inventory, fill and send sample orders, clean and organize, and perform other miscellaneous tasks.

Once warehouse duties and general production procedures are grasped, inside sales training will begin. Learning the ins-and-outs of packaging materials, machines, and applications before assisting customers.

Upon completion of inside sales training, employees will keep their base pay with commission earned on new customer sales. Inside sales associates are expected to prepare formal quotes, assist customers when needed, and communicate with suppliers when needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

*Fill warehouse orders with the ability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs.

*Meet deadlines without being managed.

*Organize and accurately record inventory.

*Forklift Certification

*Mechanical and power tool knowledge.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

*High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

*Warehouse experience, forklift certification, and a steady job history desired.

*Previous sales or customer service experience desired.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

*Must be able to arrive at work on time, work on site and have regular work attendance.

*Must be able to perform multiple tasks at once.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

*The ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds multiple times.

*The ability to work in a non-air conditioned or heated environment.

*The ability to correctly and accurately read computer screens and printed forms.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The typical work environment consists of office and warehouse work. Filling orders for outbound shipments, testing packaging machinery, and handling inbound freight. The warehouse is not heated or cooled.

Office work requires communication and listening skills. Ability to learn new procedures and applications. Computer work and thorough follow-up with customers to provide the best possible customer service.

Pay: $13.50 - $15.00 per hour
