The Key Account Manager is the primary Wixon customer contact responsible for the implementation and execution of the Consumer Products sales plan. The Key Account Manager is responsible for growing revenue and margin with current and new customers by leveraging Wixon capabilities and resources to develop customized product and packaging solutions.
Ideally, this role will be based in the Chicago metro area, however there is flexibility regarding location. The role is required to service accounts across the United States and can expect to prospect over the phone, face-to-face, through networking activities, and by building referral partnerships managing a territory that will require 50% travel.

Key Responsibilities Include:
· Develops tactical plans and objectives for identified target accounts including analyzing and defining the potential for revenue growth within targeted group or segment.
· Forecasts, solicits, and secures orders from current and potential customers.
· Recommends pricing strategies, innovation ideas, and promotional programs for key customers.
· Develops and maintains the defined A, B accounts list to be reviewed and agreed with Divisional Director on an annual basis.
· Works effectively with the Consumer Products internal team to plan, organize, and control product development activities from conceptual stages, to formulation, package development, price quote request, and commercialization.
Qualifications Include:
· Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree required, advance degree preferred.
· 5 years+ related food industry sales experience required with consumer product sales experience highly desired.
· Demonstrated success in an outside sales role focusing on: Excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, territory management and growth.
· Demonstrated background in technical sales with an emphasis on closing skills, prospecting skills and negotiation.
· MS Office proficiency
