Job Overview

As Dalan prepares for a new product launch, we are looking for a ‘can do’ Sales Manager who will work to cultivate relationships with commercial and side-liner beekeepers and queen breeders. The primary role will focus on selling the world’s first insect vaccine for American Foulbrood. As a young start-up, Dalan offers ample room for growth and development.

Responsibilities:

• Develop strategy to achieve sales forecast while staying within defined budget
• Prospect, develop and retain new customers
• Visit customers at their bee operations
• Ensure customer inquiries are addressed in a timely manner and recorded in CRM system
• Actively participate on weekly calls with sales team to discuss developments, train staff, and prepare sales plan
• Maintains expert knowledge of the product and performs product education with beekeepers
• Works closely with regional counterpart and the broader Dalan team
• Demonstrates a team player mentality with the sales team by participating in cold calls and responding to customer phone calls, emails, and website submissions
• Represents Dalan by delivering public presentations at conferences and tradeshows
• Identifies trends, resolves problems, recommends improvements, implements change
• Ensure behavior and contracts are compliant with company policy
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree. Degree in business preferred.
• 3-5 years sales experience required, experience in animal health or pharmaceutical sales preferred.
• Beekeeping experience a plus. Must be comfortable working outside with bees, wearing bee suit, opening hives, etc.
• New product launch experience a plus.
• Work will be performed largely in the field, not at home base. Travel estimated to be 50-75%.
• This position will require evening and weekend hours and job duties may take place at multiple locations across the USA and Canada.

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
• Public speaking a plus
• CRM system experience a plus
• Comfortable using MS Office

Approximate Hours/Week:

• Full time
• May require work or travel on weekends

• This role will be based in the Atlanta, GA Area.
