Full description of the position

The Bid Administrator is responsible for reviewing and organizing all bid proposal requirements, general conditions, and other contractual front-end documents as part of the bid process. The Bid Admin works within the Bid Center on some of Ford’s most high-profile projects. The Bid Admin evaluates legitimate bid opportunities; secures all required bid documentation; and coordinates the progression of bid projects with the Bid Estimators. They assist the Bid Division Manager with administrative duties throughout the bidding process and stages. This includes making calls to follow up on bid proposals and coordinating details with potential General Contractors, Consultants, and end users. The top candidate for this position has a technical background and aptitude, construction knowledge/experience, strong reading and writing skills, and interest in music, sound, lighting, video, and/or security systems.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while working on multiple projects
• Excellent reading comprehension – strategic highlighting / parsing
• Concise and professional writing ability
• Quick and accurate typing
• Strong organizational skills
• Microsoft Office skills – Excel, Word, and Outlook
• PDF editing experience – Adobe or Bluebeam preferred
• Associates degree or higher preferred
