Now Hiring - Apartment Painting - Production Manager in Okemos, MI

The function of this position is to manage, mentor, and grow our production (apartment painters that work in Lansing MI and throughout Michigan on larger projects) team in skillset, ability, and quality. This person MUST have extensive experience in painting apartments (brush and roll) to be able to learn our way and train others on our system. The preferred candidate will have several years of apartment painting and be skilled in customer service. The right candidate will also have background in supervision & management to assist with HR duties in running a team.

The Production Manager position will report directly to the Managing Partner and Owner (eventually General Manager). The primary function of the Production Manager position is to oversee the production team, cultivate and train team members, and project manage projects scheduled. They will prevent production problems, create systems for efficiencies, plan project hours to profitability, maintain project timelines while properly communicating with the customers, create and utilize training programs, and build skillset on the team. Creating rapport within our customer base, correcting problems in the field, and representing the company publicly is also required. Sales representation (not hard sales) may be additionally required. It is also the responsibility of this position to lead the production team with integrity and guidance. The expectation is that the Production Manager will be self-motivated, able to problem solve, have attention to detail, and possess excellent communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
