Regional Sales Representative

Classification: Exempt

Reports to: Director of Sales and Marketing

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the promotion of the Pharmaceutical Specialties, Inc. products in a specified region and is to detail physicians on the uses and advantages of our line of skin care products.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Traveling to specified territories for office visits with physicians.
• Makes phone calls to new and existing customers in specified territory.
• Acts as a resource to resellers in contract opportunities and proposals.
• Assists in the planning of sale exhibits.
• Attends trade shows.
• Keeps customers informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to customers.
• Becomes actively involved in a new resellers sales orientation.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

• There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanner, filing cabinets and fax machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job.

• This job requires the employee to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch or stand for periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. During the course of the year, the employee will also attend three multi-day conferences, which requires long periods of standing.

USUAL WORKING HOURS

• Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as the job duties demand.
• Capability to work extended hours if necessary.

TRAVEL

• This position requires up to 40% travel which is frequently outside the local area and overnight.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Previous customer service preferred.
