Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm.

We are looking for an Agronomy Sales Technician to build and maintain positive relationships with members resulting in sales of fertilizers, chemicals, and seeds while improving our members financial success. While also taking on operations responsibilities during spring agronomy and fall harvest seasons.
- Recommend fertilizers, chemicals, and seed producing the greatest yield and profitability for members
- Write up product orders and verify price to maintain margins
- Submit orders for processing and follow up with procurement
- Help coordinate product delivery or application
- Analyze soil using sampling and observations
- Conduct testing and communicate the results to the supplier
- Complete crop surveys and follow up on the results
- Develop plans for pest infestations and other crop related issues
- Collaborate with members on crop development and recommendations for improvement
- Coordinate with site managers regarding timing of materials
- Communicate with applicators regarding field characteristics, product placement, and other application logistics
- Utilize and explain to the grower the advantages of Variable rating prescription
- Follow up with members after application and resolve any issues
- Application of wet, dry, and vapor agronomy products to soil and vegetation
- Comfortable engaging and running heavy machinery
- Adjust hoses, nozzles, and tubes to account for varied terrain
- Create price quotes
- Assure the work complies with laws, regulations, and company standards
- Mix chemicals and fertilizers according to the formulas
- Clean and operate machinery to ensure operating efficiency
- Quickly report all machinery malfunctions and ensure repairs are completed
- Make minor repairs and adjustments to machinery in the field
- During the offseason assist with major repairs, paint equipment, and maintain facilities
- Assist in the movement and accounting for inventory tracking
- Recommend products and services as needed when on site with grower
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell for other areas of the business
- Support cross-divisional collaboration whenever possible
- Help out in other areas of the business as bandwidth allows
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in agriculture related field preferred
- Clean driving record required
- Previous dry and wet application experience preferred
- Experience with heavy machinery a plus
- Strong computer and technology skills
- Excellent written and verbal and communication
- Sales and service focused mindset

- Must be able to handle long stretches of work during busy season
