Sales Representative-in-Training in La Vista, NE
Midland Scientific, Inc. (MSI) is seeking a Sales Representative-in-Training candidate to be trained in our sales program for 6-12 months in Omaha before then moving into a sales territory as a Sales Representative. This position provides a unique opportunity for those with little or no sales experience to participate in an extensive Sales Rep training program. This program is administered at our LaVista, NE location and is a 6-12 month commitment to our Sales Reps-in-Training Program to comprehensively teach the sales process, MSI’s internal systems and daily operations, give opportunity to build relationships with the MSI team and our current customers, and train for the best success possible as a Sales Representative. This training program is fully paid and includes many full-time benefits. Once the Sales Training Program has been completed, a Sales Representative for MSI is then responsible for pursuing new sales opportunities as well as providing excellent sales support to current and future customers within his/her territory.
The sales territory for this position is unspecified and the candidate hired must be willing to move into any assigned territory within the continental U.S. after successful completion of the sales training program. More details about this can be discussed in interviews.

Brief Overview of an Outside Sales Representative’s Job Functions:
- Pursue potential new sales opportunities through relationship building, in-person sales calls, product shows, creating and following through on quotes, exploring leads and referrals, etc.
- Build strong business relationships with current and future customers.
- Provide excellent sales support to customers through consistency, follow through, and looking for ways to innovatively meet their needs.
- Attend and participate in bi-annual sales meetings in MSI’s Omaha, NE location.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required. A degree in Biology or Chemistry is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communicator
- Positive attitude with a customer-focused mindset
- Self-motivated professional that consistently shows initiative
- Strong ability to work independently
- Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills
- Some laboratory experience is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
