The Sr. Account Executive (AE) provides sales leadership for key accounts with high volume, complexity and/or significant strategic importance. Sr. AE will execute strategies set by leadership to maximize revenue and margins, support the growth of customer accounts, and maintain optimal relationships with customers. The Sr. AE is responsible for managing the sales process with key clients, partner with different departments to ensure timely execution and the resolution of any issues. Effectively communicate between departments and companies ensuring work proceeds in a timely and effective manner.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Thinks externally to identify, pursue, and deliver business opportunities for profitable growth across existing and new customers and/or categories
- Ensure accounts are maintained with a high level of service in all areas and maintain/increase orders at profitable margins.
- Execute product strategies laid out by brand and design.
- Utilizes selling skills, consumer insights, negotiation skills and business acumen to influence customers to purchase the portfolio of our products that best help meet their financial targets, drive revenue & income growth.
- Plan, project, and manage product assortments for wholesale.
- Manage drop ship process, ensuring that images and style details are provided to our wholesale partners and available on their web sites.
- Analyze businesses on a weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis.
- Manage Key cross functional relationships between departments.
- Collaborate with other teams and departments to meet client needs and create new opportunities.
- Participate in sales strategy and development meetings with leadership and sales team.
- Prepare monthly and seasonal sales reports.
- Develop a solid and trusting relationship with all key accounts at all management levels.
- Highly responsive and utilizes a problem-solving approach to customer management. Communicates efficiently and effectively across all channels.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills
- Proficient in P&L management.
- Travel
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A)
- 3-5 years of sales or equivalent position
- Previous experience in account and order management, business strategy, and merchandising.
- Infor PLM
- Experience with key retailers and retail systems: Nordstrom, Amazon, Bloomingdales, Von Maur, Dillard’s
