As a subsidiary of Denmark based Scan-Group, our history in shipping and logistics dates to 1969. From Scan-Group, International Cargo Terminals, Inc. (ICT) was founded in 2008 and has organically grown into one of USA’s leading CFS operators with warehouses in Florida, Georgia and New Jersey. Headquartered in Elizabeth, New Jersey, ICT operates more 5 facilities in the US and has also an operation in Busan, Korea and are looking to further expansion. Our company’s expertise, offering deconsolidation services for LCL & FCL Ocean containers, as well as export consolidation, combined with full transload capabilities at our uniquely placed locations. ([please apply online] Cargo Terminals, has an immediate opening at our Elizabeth office in New Jersey, for an experienced Sales Manager with previous experience in selling transload/cross dock and other warehouse related service offerings.
We are looking for a candidate who is pro-active, dynamic, highly motivated, reliable and who understands and appreciates the importance of a team effort. The candidate should also possess the ability to ‘think outside the box’, and think and work outside their local market, and aware of various time zones and regional norms for all parties involved.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the growth of ICT’s transload services for both import and export by securing new business.
- Sales solicitation of prospective accounts in core markets as well as seeking other opportunities.
- Identifying and properly qualifying business opportunities whilst maintaining an active sales pipeline.
- Inputting and updating sales activities.
- Continually developing and maintaining existing customers.
- Communicating closely with customers and ICT’s operations department to assure uniform understanding of customer expectations relative to operational solutions, timeline, costs and results, including SOP ownership.
- Directing operational issues to the correct operational owner.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent related work experience.
- 10-15 years of freight forwarding / NVOCC / Warehousing sales experience.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Desire and ability to provide excellent customer service required. Position will interact with customers by phone, email and in-person frequently.
- Professional demeanor, including excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Windows programs, specifically Word and Excel.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
