JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Sales Account Manager
LOCATION: Chatsworth, California
REPORT TO: Supervisor, Sales and Account Management
SHIFT: Day Shift: (7:30 am to 4:30 pm / Monday thru Friday)
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
- This position will manage sales activities and accounts for assigned customers and products. The ideal candidate must be detailed-oriented in nature, have strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with diverse personalities within several departments. Other qualities include strong communication skills both written and verbal, the ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines.The candidate must have an energetic, pleasant and courteous personality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Processing daily purchase orders, including update sales/purchase orders in the ERP system.
- Answer customer’s questions and concerns and follow-up and research orders utilizing our ERP system (Epicor).
- Generate and review market analysis and studies to determine customer needs, forecasting, price schedules, and discount rates.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with customers through consistent contact.
- Administer contracts, and terms and conditions so the business is compliant.
- Assist with credit and collections as needed.
- Act as back-up for other Account Managers/Customer Service Representatives as necessary.
- Other duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates degree preferred; 1-2 years related experience and/or training
- 1-2 years of prior sales administrative support, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Aerospace experience preferred.
- Prior technical product sales experience.
- Familiarity with aerospace distribution, MRO, and aftermarket support sales models.
- Strong relationship and customer development skills.
- Ability to identify customer needs and create a solution within company capabilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- High energy level, comfortable with multi-tasking.
- Must be well-organized, flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment.
- MS Office Suite including; Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and MSWord.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Read/Write Fluently in English
- Sustained dependable attendance.
- Cooperation with others in team environment for cross training and conference on operational issues.
- Initiative in learning and changing work methods to accomplish assigned tasks on a timely basis.
