The Territory Manager (TM) manages support functions essential to the sales force productivity. These include planning, reporting, quota setting/management, sales process optimization, sales training, sales program implementation, recruiting and selection of sales force talent.
The TM is responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the assigned market. Reporting to the Sales Director, the TM also works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled and supported within the sales organization. The TM will work directly with store personnel within their market to achieve Company sales goals and KPI minimum requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization’s planning efforts.
- Works with store personnel to achieve sales goals and avoids stagnation by motivating and working with personnel who are struggling.
- Works to ensure all Key Predictive Indicators (KPIs) as outlined by Cricket Wireless and Mobilelink are achieved in each store and with each customer.
- Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement while staying updated and effectively navigating within the market.
- Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization. Recommends revisions to existing reports and assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
- Build a Succession Plan to develop future market leadership.
- Successfully manages, trains, and develops a large team of Store Manager and Assistant Store Managers who are widespread across a geographical area.
- Provides input to senior leadership in the development and administration of sales incentives and compensation programs.
- Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team. Builds peer support and strong internal colleague relationships with all key management personnel.
- Directs and supports the consistent implementation of company initiatives.
- Directs staffing, training and performance evaluations
- Resolves escalated issues arising from Operations which require coordination with other departments
- Ensures that all locations have three events planned each month.
- Keeps up to date on systems and processes to be able to evaluate and train personnel within market.
- Other duties and projects as assigned by the Sales Director and/or Area Vice President.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES
- Responsible for the efficient allocation of support and training resources impacting the sales organization.
- Achievement of strategic objectives defined by company management.
- Market must achieve Sales goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as determined by Mobilelink and Cricket Wireless.
- Must ensure that all stores and markets are staffed within budgeted hours and that overtime, leave and other pay factors are controlled within policy guidelines.
- Must make at least three sales transactions per month to maintain system and procedural efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree preferred
- 5 or more years of experience in Wireless Retail
- 5 or more years of multi-unit experience
- Proven professional history of driving and maintaining the sales process
- Strong Analytical Skills and Business Acumen
- Strong Organizational Skills with a Problem-Solving Ability Strong Customer Service Skills
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
REQUIRED WORKING CONDITIONS
- This position requires the availability and flexibility to travel as needed to meet the Company/Territory needs.
- This position may require relocation to new markets within the organization
