SR. SALES SPECIALIST

Reports to : Store Sales Manager, Assistant Sales Manager

Primary Purpose: The Sr. Sales Specialist drives sales growth by personally selling deep and across all product categories and delivering emotionally engaging customer experiences – consistent with the brand vision. The Sales Specialist promotes a high-performance selling culture by inspiring, supporting and mentoring peers.

Key Responsibilities:

● Drives top line store sales and growth by personally selling to customers
● Responsible to deliver 25% of the total store’s sales goal
● Moves with intention throughout the store, connecting with multiple customers
● Proactively engages with customers, reads cues and responds effectively
● Creates a memorable connection by asking effective questions to identify customer needs and make a compelling product recommendation
● Uses confident selling statement and is effective at overcoming customer objections
● Displays expert product knowledge and takes initiative to elevate personal and peer knowledge of product categories
● Participates in sales goal setting with manager and tracks individual performance towards the goal
● Makes it a priority to understand the business and offers suggestions on how the store can be more productive
● Creates enthusiasm for selling strategies by inspiring, supporting and mentoring others’ selling behaviors
● Assists in training of new associates, serving as a shadow partner
● Delivers a friendly and efficient point of sale (POS) experience processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently

● Creating customer awareness of programs and promotions available to them to build customer loyalty, when applicable
● Setting personal goals and tracking individual and team performance to the goals
● Preparing for each shift by maintaining awareness of all sales, promotions and applicable POS procedures
● Taking initiative to recover and replenish merchandise, so it is available to sell
● Understanding and adhering to visual merchandising brand standards
● Assisting in housekeeping of sales floor and communicating maintenance issues
● Keeping an awareness of, and building personal capability in, loss prevention
● Supporting all activities related to providing a safe working environment
● Understanding and demonstrating Company values
● Leads and or participates in the company’s personal development and philanthropic initiatives

Qualifications:

● Previous experience leading leaders and associate teams
● Proven ability to lead a pay for performance selling team is preferred
● Demonstrates ability to improve customer satisfaction and drive loyalty
● Proven ability to effectively delegate, follow up and communicate with all levels of the organization
● Demonstrates ability to manage complex and competing priorities with time management and organizational skills
● Demonstrates ability to assess talent, coach, develop and manage performance
● Demonstrates business acumen with strong strategic and analytical skills
● Demonstrates excellent visual merchandising skills
● Demonstrates strong product knowledge
● Schedule flexibility to include nights, weekends and holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
