We are actively recruiting for a full-time Senior Director, Business Development to work closely with RRD’s Chief Business Officer and the senior management team to foster optimal business success for the organization.

Our Senior Director, Business Development will:

• Effectively communicate RRD’s value proposition to the market at both the c-suite and board level to potential RRD Partners and venture capital firms, as well as internally across the organization.
• Work independently to source new partnerships, assess development needs, identify resource requirements, lead the proposal process, and close deals.
• Develop strategies and plans in support of annual business targets in terms of types of partnerships, therapeutic area focus, revenue contribution and profitability. These strategies include RRD services and appropriate integration of Uniphar capabilities for optimal business contribution.
• Contribute to the ongoing assessment/review of the Company’s “go to market” strategy and value proposition as required through analysis of market trends.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market developments both within partner companies, potential partners and competitors.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least ten (10) years of experience in a contract research organization is preferred.
• Significant experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device industries.
• Clear evidence of delivery of success, including substantial revenue and shareholder value growth, while demonstrating strategic decision-making and implementation in the life sciences industry.
• Understanding of the drug development process in both pharma and biotechnology companies, including knowledge of the drug regulatory process.
• Strong financial understanding and comfortable with cash flow, income (profit and loss) statement, balance sheets, etc.
• High degree of familiarity with a large number of companies and large number of executives in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.
