Overview: The Marketing & Sales Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the organization in the development and implementation of its marketing, communication, sales support, and event management efforts. This will be accomplished through executing on a mix of operational duties across sales, marketing, administration initiatives, and planned strategies. This position requires attention to detail and prompt completion of work.

Reports to: CVB President

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain monthly contact with hotel sales staff through email, phone calls, and scheduled meetings for reporting purposes.
  • Track hotel usage and provide monthly and year-end Excel reports.
  • Assist Sales Manager in creation and submission of proposals.
  • Manage the RFP process with hotels for securing room blocks for meetings and events, as well as manage room blocks for events hosted by CVB.
  • Assist sales team and marketing as needed for hotel communications, event management, and digital/print collateral development.
  • Maintain current list of contacts, as well as add new contacts for new restaurants, retail, attractions and government information and changes in current data in Simpleview CRM database.
  • Maintain website content and listings, which pull from Simpleview CRM database.
  • Manage the internal CVB Event Calendar, keeping it updated with current events.
  • Assist in proofing and editing marketing collateral and advertisements.
  • Track marketing campaigns, email metrics, social media, and website analytics.
  • Coordinate activity in Crowd Riff platform to increase social media metrics and visitor engagement.
  • Assist with communications: write, edit, distribute and track media releases and media exposure with designated tools.
  • Assist with event planning, budget management, and administration duties.
  • Prepare for 12 monthly board meetings, record, acquire board secretary signature and file minutes.
  • Organize and schedule sales and marketing meetings, hotel roundtable meetings, board meetings, and other appointments as directed.
  • Manage building operations, including cleaning, lawn care, snow removal and maintenance.
  • Provide general support for staff and complete additional duties as assigned by CVB President.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications or other related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of business social media best practices and platforms.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of work experience (preferably in tourism, marketing, and sales)
  • Working knowledge of the Clermont County area, including hotels, tourist attractions, restaurants, and events, with the ability and desire to learn more.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Hours:

  • Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
  • Some evenings and weekend work as needed (infrequent) for events
