About the Opportunity

The Wholesale Sales Representative’s (WSR) primary mission is to achieve and surpass all sales and gross margin objectives within their designated territory and customer segment. The scope of their responsibilities includes but are not limited to: generating sales and gross margin growth, managing and adding Pro Partners, maintaining knowledge of competitive commercial pricing, working with store teams, management teams, and corporate teams to add new customers and grow existing business, as well as directly interacting with customers to grow revenue. The Wholesale Sales Representative must focus on building strong relationships with both their external customers (Pool Trade Professionals) as well as with their internal customers (Store teams and CSC teams). The WSR is the leader of the wholesale program in their territory and thus must partner and work seamlessly with multiple company departments to ensure success of the segment and customer satisfaction are achieved.

Commercial Team

  • Serves the needs of commercial pool operators, such as hotels and apartment complexes, with excellent business to business skills and communication
  • Our commercial division provides reliable and unique service to our customers
  • Experts in both inside and outside sales
  • Opportunity to assist in daily distribution for customers

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and surpass all sales and gross margin objectives within their designated territory and customer segment

  • Grow territory market share through new customer acquisition, existing customer development

  • Strategically target and grow large volume pool trade customers

  • Manage and grow the Pro Partner Program within their territory. This includes interviewing, enrolling, tracking, and meeting with both store teams and customers to ensure success of the program

  • Work closely with District Managers, CSC teams, and Retail store teams, to ensure customer expectations are properly communicated and administered. This includes assistance with training of teams, coordination on delivery of items, and collaboration on product availability

  • Territory management of both internal (Leslies personnel) and external customers (trade customers) including but not limited to: frequency of customer interactions, optimized territory routing, customer follow up and communication, and overall customer Leslie’s experience

  • Execution of all Leslie’s programs, initiatives, and objectives

  • Responsible for all Loss Prevention procedures including, but not limited to lap top computers, cell phones, reports, etc.

  • Assist with the development of marketing plans, pricing, and strategies

  • Conform to all Leslie’s standards for attendance, security, and professionalism


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Three to five years of outside sales experience or a college degree and one to two years of work experience
  • Proficiency with computers
  • Solid interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Must enjoy meeting people and providing solutions that build long term business relationships
  • Knowledge of the swimming pool industry is helpful, but not required
  • Must enjoy working with diverse teams of dynamic individuals who strive to win
  • Must have reliable transportation and an excellent driving record

Compensation Structure: $60,000-$68,000
