Inside Sales Representative
G.E. Schmidt is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join their expanding sales team! This is a great opportunity to be an integral part of a growing company.
G.E. Schmidt, a family-owned company headquartered in Blue Ash, has served the resistance welding industry since 1960 as a leading manufacturer and distributor of resistance welding products.
The Customer Service Representative (Inside Sales) is responsible for providing excellent customer service, troubleshooting customer issues, and ensuring quoting and processing customer orders of consumable products.
Key Objectives of the Inside Sales Representative:
- Leads the quote process for consumable products to ensure customers receive accurate and timely information and communication regarding potential future purchases.
- Executes proactive customer communication to drive repeat sales and ensure customers feel valued.
- Facilitates effective interdepartmental communication to ensure customers receive consumable products as expected.
- Builds and strengthens relationships with customers in order to ensure accounts remain successful and profitable. Acts as a main point of contact for assigned accounts.
- Conducts regular customer visits to build relationships and increase likelihood of new and repeat orders.
- Coordinates customer technical service requests with engineering department to resolve issues and answer technical questions promptly.
- Works with vendors to request quotes and make purchase order placements, holding vendors accountable for purchase orders regarding status of existing orders, requesting expedites and resolving shipment error of purchased inventory when necessary.
- Stays abreast of industry trends and proactively develops technical knowledge of products and services.
- Attends relevant trade shows and industry association conferences to raise the profile of G.E. Schmidt in their markets of focus.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years in a professional role required
- Customer service and/or inside sales experience required
- Experience working in the welding industry a plus
- Experience with ERP and CRM platforms preferred (experience with Sage and Salesforce a plus)
- Inventory experience ideal (i.e. correcting / investigating inventory discrepancies)
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
