In-Home Sales Consultant - Flooring (Shop at Home)

DeSitter Flooring, the most trusted name in flooring for 100 years, is a successful and growing flooring company serving the entire Chicagoland area. We are looking for (2) two talented In-Home Residential Sales Consultants to serve the flooring needs of our clientele looking for a convenient shop at home experience in the comfort of their own home. The compensation for this position includes a $40K base salary, plus commission and bonuses for a annual earning potential $75K+.

As a In-Home Residential Flooring Sales Consultant, you will provide a five star experience to our longstanding clientele and meet sales goals for our business. You will assist, design, educate and sell all types of high quality flooring materials and installation services for carpet, area rugs, hardwood, and more. You must possess good communication skills and build trusting relationships that immediately make our customers feel welcomed. It's critical to quickly identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products / services and recommend solutions. It's also important to maintain a positive attitude through the process from start to finish. Ultimately, the goal is to ensure our customer's complete satisfaction is met and that you helped contribute to the stores success.

This position reports directly to the Store Manager and in conjunction with Business Development and Operations. The general duties and skills required of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Develop a full understanding and utilization of the "5-Step Sales Process."
• Greet incoming guests entering the showroom, assisting them with selections, design and knowledgeable advice for all their flooring projects.
• Occasionally visit with clients in their homes to measure, consult, or to handle a service issue / problem.
• Provide detailed estimates (materials & labor) for all types of flooring.
• Diligently follow-up on all leads & estimates to help close orders.
• Track record to achieving sales goals.
• Participate in ongoing product knowledge and sales training sessions to be a successful flooring specialist.
• Assist in keeping samples and showroom looking clean and organized.
• Participate in weekly sales meeting

Qualifications and Skills

• Associate or bachelors degree preferred but not necessary.
• Minimum 2 years successful sales experience (performance base incentives).
• Previous experience in flooring, home decorating / furnishings or home remodeling experience is helpful.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
