Black Diamond Paving is hiring a Project Consultant Sales for our Escondido, CA location.

Black Diamond is a paving, concrete, and sealcoat contractor in the Bay Area. The Project Consultant/Sales is responsible for prospecting, selling directly to our customers, and managing incoming projects as well as working closely with our Operations Team to ensure superior project outcomes. The ideal candidate for the Project Consultant job has high energy, problem-solving skills, and the ability to make sound, profitable decisions.

Black Diamond Paving & Concrete provides pavement maintenance services for commercial, industrial, retail and multi-family residential markets. Black Diamond Paving has been in business for over 25 years, with its headquarters office located in Northern California and a second office located in Escondido.

Project Consultant/Sales Education and Experience Requirements:

• Must enjoy working with customers and providing world-class customer service.
• Strong computer skills required.
• Must be a creative problem solver with excellent time management skills.
• A degree in Business, Sales, or Construction Management is preferred.
• Prior sales experience and understanding of construction methods preferred.

Project Consultant/Sales Responsibilities:

• Respond to RFP’s within 24 hours
• Take field measurements for paving, concrete, and seal coat projects
• Build estimates using estimation software program
• Create and present proposals to customers
• Prospect for customers & build account base
• Developing project strategy (general conditions, scheduling, etc.)
• Customer contact during bidding and through all stages of each sale
• Manage “Day of Job” issues with Operations
• Update CRM weekly
