Full description of the position

The Account Manager is responsible for developing new business and expanding sales to designated existing customers for a broad group of specialty chemicals and services. Responsibilities involve developing and calling on new leads, quoting, trials, presentations to customers, testing, show by example test cleaning, performing physical activities to support customer service and sales. Additional aspects involve problem solving, team cooperation, operate independently and with a team as well as chemical knowledge to support customers. Must have good interpersonal communication and relationship building skills.
This position is responsible for the Midwest region (portions of Michigan, Northern Ohio, Indiana, Chicago, St. Louis and Kansas City).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify opportunities for growth of Chemico products and services
  • Automotive and Industrial Paint Booth Maintenance Products
  • Full Line of Facility Cleaners and Jan-San Chemicals
  • Other process and custom chemicals
  • Offsite paint stripping and production aid cleaning
  • Solicit to new customers to gain sales of products and/or services
  • Work with existing clients assigned to maintain volumes of current sales
  • Manage entire sales cycle for new business opportunities from development through close
  • Network for new customer opportunities
  • Performing sales calls to new customers and developing quotes/proposals according to company defined standards to obtain new business
  • Provide and oversee product trials at customer sites to demonstrate product performance and train on proper use
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in potential customer accounts
  • Oversee all product sales at client locations to ensure proper use, updates SDS’s, safe operator usage, delivery, and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources for sales objective
  • Develops collaborative relationships with customer key personnel to develop strategic solutions
  • Build relationships with new & existing clients to solidified Chemico Brand in Market
  • Effectively communicates sales activities through updating of CRM tool and attendance of sales meetings
  • Maintain and provide measurable reporting of progress to targets and prospects
  • Work and support of company trade show activities

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES

  • Achieves assigned sales growth objectives.
  • Achieves customer objectives defined by company management.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
  • Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four year college degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
  • Three years of experience in a business-to-business sales, sales support, or account management environment with industrial clients.
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Understands and can sell utilizing a consultative approach
  • Proficient with computer and use of MS Office
  • Previous experience with automotive and industrial manufacturing and specialty chemicals is preferred

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position requires travel – some overnight
  • Working with and handling of chemicals
  • This position may require off-hour (nights and weekend) support.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
