Sky Auto Mall, a family owned dealer group is looking to hire an Automotive General Sales Manager to oversee the day-to-day new and used car sales operations at our Cedar Rapids area dealership in Iowa. This is a full-time position with opportunity for advancement to store General Manager in the future. The Current owner is looking for the right person to take the dealership to the next level.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of day to day sales operations, always looking for areas of improvement.
- Knowledge of business processes and functions of Ford and or CDJR.
- Set policies, processes, for the team to meet and exceed industry KPI's and review results.
- Selecting, training, coaching, developing and retaining Sales Associates and F&I Managers for the store and driving an industry leading level of performance among the sales team.
- Meet and exceed OEM Area Sales Requirements for new cars.
- Effectively communicating with the Owner on a weekly basis to review Sales and Performance forecasts to ensure consistency with set projections and expectations.
- Managing the negotiations and financing processes with Sales Associates ensuring a clear, concise, and transparent buying process for consumers.
- Ability to forecast goals and objectives for vehicle sales, gross and key expenses on a monthly and annual basis.
- Leading the departments inventory management, merchandising, pricing and the reconditioning process.
- Creating and fostering excellent working relationships with lenders, OEM's and dealership vendors.
- Appraising vehicles for trade.
- Maintaining consistently high CSI Scores, by creating policies, procedures, and a culture of customer service.
- Handling F&I Manager duties
Job Requirements:
- A proven track record of managing a successful team and dealership sales operation
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Dealer Management, preferably Sales Manager or General Sales Manager experience.
- Ability to understand profit, loss statements, and manage a staff.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Passionate about customer retention and satisfaction.
- Performance driven with a need to succeed.
- Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
