POSITION OVERVIEW
The TSMwill lead EBC’s business in designated markets. Additional growth opportunities and/or responsibilities may be offered based on performance and readiness in current assignment. The role requires data-driven and strategic business creation mentality, an ability to identify and close growth opportunities, and a proven track-record of successfully developing premium and ultra-premium CPG brands and products, preferably specialty and gourmet foods & beverages.
The candidate MUST HAVE relevant skills and experiences. The RSM will be accountable for:
1) New business creation and customer acquisition,
2) Distribution, POS, channel, and geographic expansion,
3) Existing business development and in-market execution,
4) Strategic planning and profitable growth of assigned portfolio.
SCOPE & REQUIREMENTS
1. Geographic Scope: (OH, MI, IL, IN)
2. Channels
- Retailers (Specialty, Ethnic, Cash & Carry, Home, Lifestyle, Independent Outlets, and select FDMC+)
- Distributors & Wholesalers (National, Regional, Local, Re-seller, Conventional, Natural, Artisanal/Craft, etc.)
3. Skills & Experiences
- Growth Hunter - Strategically identifying, evaluating, realizing, and maximizing new and existing opportunities.
- Incubator & Closer - New customers, new distribution, new POS, new partners, and new product introductions.
- Commercially Intuitive - Market and customer insights, GTM and POS trends, and networked with key decision makers.
- Excellent Operator - Plan & Deliver Targets for lead generation, acquisition, Revenue, DPSM, budget, forecast, EBITDA, etc.
- Data & Tech. Savvy - Performance tracking, analysis, insights, and tools e.g., LinkedIn, CRM, MS-Office, IRI, Nielsen etc.
- Entrepreneurial - Results driven, resourceful, detail oriented, active observer, and strong communicator and influencer.
4. Location & Travel
- Hybrid (prefer NE Ohio based candidates. Home Office travel or relocation support not provided)
- Approx. 25%(should be able to drive ~5+ hours, if needed)

- Would you call yourself more of a: 1) NEW business builder (identified, hunted and closed accounts that never existed), OR 2) EXISTING business developer (grew or expanded existing accounts)?
- For Candidates Outside of North East Ohio - Relocation is not provided by the company. Can you reliably commute to this job's location 1-4 days/month?
- Do you have experience selling new brands and products to Independent Outlets, Cash & Carry, Ethnic Stores e.g. Eataly, Jungle Jim's, Di Bruno Bros., Euro Market, Specialty Markets, Ethnic Stores etc.?
