Overview of Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for generating new sales revenue to the commercial roofing markets as a result of building relationships with vendors, contractors, engineers and end users with an assorted product line which includes large and small equipment and tools that provide the correct and efficient solutions for the customer.
- Closes new business by prospecting for and contacting potential customers in person by telephone or email; understanding products and services; monitoring competitors; working the sales funnel and maintaining sales databases. Ability to forecast customer needs to stock trailer appropriately “stow and tow”; maintaining/growing current sales.
- Manages time in the assigned territory for optimum results. Operates with clarity of purpose in day to day work.
- Builds new accounts by establishing and maintaining rapport with key decision-makers; studying account needs; and developing plans.
- Protects Company’s interest by maintain good relationships with current and long-term customers. Resolves issues and is liaison between customer, home office, and the warehouse.
- Communicates with customer and internal personnel to ensure success in delivering correct product just in time.
- Responsible for delivering, setting up, training customer and troubleshooting equipment at a customer’s work site.
- Forecast, repairs, and orders of equipment with operations to ensure margin and delivery goals are met. If a problem arises that is going to jeopardize the sale notify and collaborate with the President to resolve the issues.
· Maintains margins to target goals for profitability
Requirements
- Building material product knowledge (windows/siding/roofing)
- Strong ability to develop new business while maintaining existing business.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Valid license
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical
- Ability and willingness to travel with overnights in territory
- Impeccable communication and interpersonal skills
Preferences
- Higher education in the business field
- Highly motivated, positive self-starter

Pay: Base salary plus commission. No cap on commission earnings
