Outside Sales / B2B Sales – Automotive Industrial Tapes, Adhesive Tapes

Product Manager. This is a B-to-B sales job to sell industrial tapes, such as the both-sided adhesive industrial tapes used in the automotive industry.

Job location: Home office around the Novi area in MI.

Relocation support: Yes. The hiring company provides relocation support.

This job is to sell the industrial adhesive tapes used in the automotive industry. So, the home office needs to be somewhere around the Novi area in Michigan to be close to the automotive OEMs and supplies. Also, from your home office in the Novi area in Michigan, you will be flying out or driving to Indiana, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois and Texas to meet with potential and existing customers in the automotive industry.

Travel requirement: Around 35% of the time by car and airplane.

Our client is a well-established international manufacturing company which is producing and selling the high-quality industrial tapes and packaging materials used in the automotive industry and some other industries. We are currently looking for an experienced outside sales rep who has experience selling industrial tapes for our client.

Some of the minimum qualification requirements:

• A few years of sales experience in the industrial tape industry.
• 3+ years of the business-to-business outside sales experience in the automotive packaging material or chemical industry. Ideally, a candidate has 5+ years of outside sales experience in the related fields.
• Able to travel by car and airplane around 35% of the time.
• A college degree. (If you have a college degree in business, chemistry, chemical engineering, that's a big plus.)
• Able to use Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe PDF, and etc..
• A valid US driver’s license and a car. (Note: There is no public transportation near the facilities.)
• Authorized to work in the US permanently without a visa sponsorship.
• Able to start in 2 weeks if you receive a job offer.

Some of the main roles:

• Sell industrial adhesive tapes to automotive OEMs and suppliers. (For example, the both-sided adhesive tapes are used for room mirrors in the automotive industry.)
• Develop new customer accounts by cold calling, visiting, and communicating via MS Teams.
• Visit existing and potential customers by airplane and car.
• Obtain the future minor and major model change info in the automotive industry to obtain new businesses to sell the automotive industrial adhesive tapes in the future.
• Communicate with the overseas office, Purchasing Dep and Accounting Dep.
• Conduct market research, and compile market data about the US automotive industrial tapes, packaging materials, and chemical specialty and foam products.
• Suggest new marketing and sales strategies for the company.
• Submit sales forecast to Sales Manager.
• Monitor the inventory level.
• Participate trade shows and other business events.
• Other tasks will be assigned as needed.

Compensation: $100,000 to $120,000/yr

FLSA: Exempt
