As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for account management, building and maintaining long-term relationships with focusing on client retention, quality management, and landscape enhancement sales, while providing oversight and management of field operations. A positive solution-oriented person who is relentless on customer satisfaction and follow-through are key to the success of this position. Account Managers have an incentive/commission plan, and a company vehicle and will receive a work phone and computer.
As an Account Manager/Client Care Specialist at Schill Grounds Management, you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job:
- Serve as our client's primary contact to ensure customer satisfaction and outstanding quality of work.
- Conduct client meetings and site walk-throughs, upselling present opportunities for enhancements, and ensuring landscape maintenance operations meet quality and safety standards.
- Prepare estimates and proposals for presentation to clients.
- Make horticulturally correct recommendations to clients for improvements to their sites.
- Perform designated services and responsibilities for contracted snow removal.
- Meet regularly with the Branch Manager to review sales goals and performance.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
JOB SKILLS AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Expert knowledge of landscape maintenance standards, knowledge of plant material, and installation standards
- Communicate Effectively in both written and verbal with co-workers and clients
- Project management and organizational skills

- Excellent interpersonal skills, outgoing personality
Physical Demands
- Employee will work in both an office and field environment; travel from site to site in various weather conditions; including rain, snow, sun, extreme heat, or cold.
- Employee could be required to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods; operate motorized vehicles
- Expected hours during the landscape season requiring flexibility to work between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm, including Saturdays to sell landscape services
- Potential work hours during the snow season include nighttime, weekends, and holidays to participate in snow removal activities.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with record acceptable to meet fleet insurance requirements
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
- Degree in landscape management, horticulture, or equivalent experience 5 years of experience with landscape maintenance
- CLP or CLT Certification, preferred
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft and other CRM systems
