Full description of the position

A & R Hospitality Group is looking for a Sales Director who is a self-starter with a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver the highest level of hospitality, products and services.

For additional information, please visit the company’s website at [please apply online] The Sales Director is in charge of sales strategies in all market segments with focus on maximizing the total hotel room and banquet revenue. Must have a strong understanding and expertise in the sales process, perform direct sales to business mix targets, responsible in handling local and national sales inquiries and accounts. Prepares sales reports such as but not limited to forecasts, budgets, goals, sales and marketing strategies and budgets, leads/inquiries, group bookings and STR report.

  • Implement approved sales plans and action items as directed.
  • Develop, create and implement innovative Sales & Marketing techniques.
  • Execute and distribute all in-house advertising and promotional campaigns.
  • Make personal sales calls.
  • Develop and search for potential markets for hotels.
  • Maintain good rapport with local civic groups and associations.
  • Contact current meeting planners to foster additional and repeat business.
  • Coordinate activities with all hotel departments to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction.
  • Always maintain a professional appearance.
  • Assess the market potential and develop new business opportunities for each assigned hotel
  • Achievement of all solicitation and revenue goals
  • Sales and Marketing upkeep of all brand and third-party lead systems
  • Attendance of networking and community events
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with officials and representatives of local community groups, companies and trade organizations, and attend local and out of town meetings and conventions in order to generate sales for the hotel
  • Conducts on-property site tours
  • Maintain sales database for all assigned properties
  • Attend sales meetings and hotel staff meetings to facilitate good communication and to discuss VIPs and incoming business in detail.
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity, take ownership of personal and team actions, communicate effectively, promote collaboration and nurture a positive, professional work environment
