This position provides administrative support to the Educational Sales team members (Road Reps) that are based in the Davenport, Iowa location. Entering data, completing reports, and researching information using our computer systems are primary responsibilities of this position. The primary customers served by the Educational Sales Reps and the Support position are Iowa and Illinois based schools. The Sales Support position will contact Music Directors and school support staff via phone and email.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Additional duties may be assigned as business needs dictate.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administers support to road sales representatives, including but not limited to:

  • Accurately completes all paperwork necessary for daily operations of the Davenport Educational Sales department. Paperwork will include ordering merchandise, generating invoices, completing bid requests, and entering transactions into West Music computer systems.

  • Provide phone support for the Educational Sales Team (Road team).

  • Will input and update customer information in CRM software.

  • Communicates directly with assigned schools in support of the Educational Sales Reps.

  • Manages flow of inventory through the Educational Sales office which may include receiving inventory, managing transfers, preparing outbound shipping, and assisting with inventory control and cycle counts.

  • Assists the Educational Sales Reps by preparing and occasionally presenting materials for school display events

  • Will provide backup assistance for the Davenport dock, Mezzanine and repair admin to cover vacations/days off.

  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Prior Administrative experience including intermediate skills with Excel

Desired Qualifications:

  • Band/Orchestra instrument knowledge (knowledge and/or playing experience) is helpful in this role.
