Full description of the position

As a Sales Representative for Goodwin Transportation Group, you will be responsible for working with an established Sales Team to identify new business opportunities in order to drive drayage/warehousing revenue. You will start your career in an accelerated training program to learn the industry and all aspects specific to drayage. Once training is complete, you will become part of the dedicated Drayage Sales Team and subject-matter-expert for your team.

What you’ll be doing

· Communicate with the sales team and customers to build and maintain ongoing relationships

· Manage daily shipment activities, resolving issues to ensure pickup and delivery is on time

· Work with the sales team to provide and negotiate competitive pricing and rates

· Input, update, and manage shipment information in our logistic software

· Collaborate with the support team to guarantee each shipment is serviced properly

· Assist with billing and accounting responsibilities as needed

· Work effectively with all team members to ensure efficiency in the work place.

Requirements

· College degree preferred, although we have successful sales reps without one

· 2+ years of sales experience preferred (internship qualify)

· Motivated

· Excellent communication skills

· Strong problem-solving skills, while being forthright about conflict

· Ability to maintain a level head in a fast paced environment.

· Great customer service

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $900.00 per week
