As part of our change we have created a new Machine Sales Representative position that will allow us to support our customers more by utilizing our own machine shop and expertise to supply bespoke machined items and turned parts to print . We don’t ever want to tell a customer that we can’t help them. That is where this new role fits in.

About the position:

The Machine Sales Representative will be the point of contact for our customers and will handle their enquiry and find out how to make it work. Whether by either using our own manufacturing capabilities, our supply base or finding an alternative supplier or solution and generating a quote that meets the customers requirements. This Machine Sales Representative is developed for a sales person familiar with the industry of machined/ turned parts, materials and manufacturing methods for low to mid volume demands. Good communication skills and the ability to bridge production, sourcing and customer demands efficiently are important.

Requirements for a Machine Sales candidate:

• Engineering parts sales experience
• Can read and understand prints
• Understand machined / turned part manufacturing methods
• Has experience in costing parts

Daily tasks for the Machine Sales role:

• Review & qualify customer inquiries
• Estimate costs for inquiries (raw material, machining, any 3rd part processes)
• Log all costs that go towards generating the quote
• Quote / negotiate with customer
• Provide updates to customers on parts / orders that are in process
• Liaise with co-workers on transport / logistic requirements
• Liaise with purchasing / expediting on current orders

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
