Full description of the position

Industrial Controls Sales Representative for the northeastern United States territory
  • Pay is $43,000 to $60,000 plus uncapped commission
  • Three or more years of industrial technical sales experience is required
  • Must be able to work in the Madison, Wisconsin area office but also t raveling overnight up to four days at a time as needed
  • Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder

This is a full-time, permanent Industrial Controls Sales Representative (for the northeastern United States territory) career opportunity at debt-free industrial controls manufacturer that has never had a layoff. Sales have consistently grown between three to five percent annually. Whether it is for one component or an entire system; all hardware design, software development and manufacturing is done at the Madison area location. The company also provides Cloud services to customers.
The environment is flexible, casual and collaborative. Work is challenging and rewarding. Employees gain exposure to the growing product line and the entire product life cycle. Employees are able to move to different areas of the company if that is of interest. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate should be as follows:
  • Learning the industrial controls technical product line
  • Making sales telephone calls
  • Doing email campaigns
  • Handing off work to the assigned sales support person
  • Working in the Madison, Wisconsin area office
  • Traveling overnight up to four days at a time as needed
  • Working with small contractors on up to large, national accounts
The background of successful candidates must include the following:
  • Three or more years of industrial technical sales experience
  • One or more years of Customer Relationship Management software experience
  • Possess a technical education and/or technology-related experience
  • Possess an understanding of the logic of industrial controls
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude
  • Possess an eagerness to learn
  • A solid work history
  • A US citizen or possess a green card
  • A residence within 45 minutes
