An established industrial process equipment, fabrication, and engineering company is looking for an enterprising, self – starting individual to join our organization as an Outside Business Development Representative. This role will recognize and cultivate existing and potential sales leads, and travel to meet with prospective and existing clients to secure new sales.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Executes the strategic sales plan for maintaining existing and building new business relationships
- Develops and maintains positive business relationships with existing clients to enhance client retention and builds new sales through referrals and leads
- Prepares sales presentations to current and potential clients
- Manages the preparation of all quotes, RFP’s, RFQ’s, EOI’s or any other customer proposals
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Accountable for ongoing adherence and compliance to Quality Management System (QMS)
- Completes all required BD documentation
Education and Experience
- Post-Secondary Education, particularly in engineering, is considered an asset
- Oil Field Sales experience considered an asset
- Manufacturing Sales experience considered an asset
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Customer oriented
- Strong leadership skills
- Self-starter who works well with limited direction and within the guidelines of a defined business strategy as set by Leadership
- Ability to pro-actively work as part of a leadership team bringing proactive solutions & issues to enable speedy resolution
- Ability to interact with other members of the Senior Leadership team, Engineering and other Sales Executives
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with innovative approach
- Ability to be flexible and adaptive to various environments and changing responsibilities
- Good Project Management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
