As a Systems Sales Manager at Zetron, you will be responsible for selling state-of-the-art land mobile radio systems and integrated communication console technology for mission-critical applications in the public safety, transportation, and utility arenas.

As a key member of the team, you must be able to:

  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of applicable markets and product lines
  • Identify and qualify business leads and opportunities
  • Establish and maintain industry contacts that lead to sales
  • Develop and maintain relationships with OEM customers
  • Conduct research to determine customer needs and develop sales proposals on technical products & services
  • Develop and deliver customized and standard formal sales presentations
  • Participate in the development of company sales presentations and materials
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships through negotiation and close of the deal
  • Communicate regularly with management on sales status and any related issues
  • Provide customers with regular and timely professional written and verbal communication
  • Respond to Request for Quotation (RFQ’s), Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) & Request for Information (RFI’s)
  • Provide monthly forecast, weekly activity report, and customer sales reports as required
  • Participate in annual trade shows
  • Provide consistent and periodic pricing analysis
  • This position is located in a home office. Extensive travel within territory, tradeshow, training, and other business-related travel within the continental US


What makes a successful System Sales Manager?

  • Minimum two (2) year degree in, Electronics, Telecommunications Computer Sciences, or in related area required, four (4) year degree preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a role responsible for providing sales expertise for complex technical systems, including preparing technical and costing responses to RFQ’s, RFI’s and RFP’s
  • Experience in IP Networking and either Land Mobile Radio or Telephony preferred
  • Proficiency with Direct Sale deployments of ‘Mission Critical Command and Control Communication Systems’ involving but not limited to Radio Dispatch/RF Infrastructure, Telephony Systems (E911), Paging Systems, Logging Recorders and Voting Systems and/or interfacing to such system supplied by others
  • Confidence and experience in a customer-facing role, preferably using business-to-business consultative selling with professional organizations
  • Proficiency in presenting technical products to customers, in the customer’s environment
  • Active listening, with the ability to determine solutions to complex technical problems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Intermediate computer skills using the Microsoft Office Suite products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future. The typical base salary hiring range for this position is USD $85,000 to $105,000 per year. This role is eligible to participate in Zetron’s sales commission plan, it is common for employees in this role to receive 100% of base pay at target.
