Full description of the position

The Sales Manager oversees multiple customer accounts including communicating with customers and vendors as well as problem solving and addressing concerns as needed. The Sales Manager is responsible for coordinating logistics and performing analysis of reports within the company.


Essential Functions:

1. Manages all customer accounts including maintaining positive customer service interactions in-person, over the phone, and via email.

2. Addresses and follows up on customer and vendor questions and concerns in a timely and proactive manner.

3. Creates and maintains sales reports, including performing analysis of the reports, and planning to increase sales revenue.

4. Regularly reviews and negotiates and adjusts pricing for buying and selling goods.

5. Supports Operations in the coordination of logistics for shipping and receiving goods from dispatch from vendors, warehousing, and shipment to customer.

6. Oversees quality control and documentation. Supports, promotes, tracks and aids in the certification of company quality objectives.

7. Troubleshoots and resolves day to day tasks and issues as they occur.

8. Works closely with Vice President, Operations and Accounting on customer account management.

9. Maintains professional and technical knowledge and attends seminars and trainings as needed.

10. Other Duties: Performs other duties from time to time as assigned by senior management. Job duties may change at any time with or without notice.


Skills and Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor’s Degree is required. At least 4 years sales experience with demonstrated success expected. Engineering or automotive (OEM or Tier 1 or 2) experience preferred.

2. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

3. Ability to organize, direct, complete, and follow-up on simultaneous tasks with little supervision.

4. Eagerness to learn, grow, improve, and advance in their job role.

5. Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Proficient knowledge of software used for ERP and sales.
