As Heartland's footprint in New England is growing rapidly, we are looking for Outside Sales Leaders, also known as Territory Managers. As a Territory Manager you have the opportunity to not only grow your own book of business but to build a team of Outside Sales professionals. This role is a player/coach with the opportunity grow, working closely with the Regional Leader to expand Heartland's payment processing solutions through face-to-face prospecting as well as referral partnerships.

Formal placement into the Territory Manager role requires successful completion of Heartland’s Territory Manager Advancement Program. This program guides TM participants through the selling and recruiting aspects of the position. Completion of this entire program takes place over the course of approximately 3 months.

While selling and exceeding objectives and sales goals during a 90-Day training period, Territory Sales Managers will work with their local Regional Leader to begin to recruit, hire and grow their sales team.

Job Responsibilities:

Prospecting for and running dynamic sales presentations

Closing sales of our payment processing services (Card Processing, Payroll / HR Outsourcing, Loyalty Marketing)

Educating merchants and business owners on the payment processing industry

Upselling current clients on our gift marketing, payroll and other products and services

Training and coaching Relationship Managers that report to you

Recruiting and interviewing candidates

Locally networking to find professional sales reps to join your team

Qualifications:

Excellent prospecting, resourcefulness, communication, presentation and networking skills

Works well independently and as part of a team

Incentive-driven sales “hunter”

Professional demeanor and impeccable integrity

High sense of urgency and innate sales talent

Must enjoy cold-calling and speaking with people face to face

Experience dealing directly with small to mid-sized, local business owners and decision makers

Experience closing in a fast sales cycle: 5 - 10 sales per month

Experience in a performance based compensation model

Previous Top Performer status in an outside sales position

Proven track record of pipeline development and closing sales

Ability to pass a background check

Valid driver’s license and auto insurance

Computer literacy

Membership in a business or merchant association or a networking group a plus

Bilingual skills a plus

Compensation-Benefits

This is a W2, full benefits position selling Payments, Loyalty and partnering with our Payroll Division to upsell our existing portfolio. First-year Sales Leaders can expect average earnings of $95,000 - $105,000+ in the form of uncapped commissions. Top performers are in the $250,000+ range. Compensation includes weekly commissions paid each Friday, monthly recurring income that pays starting the first month, and more...
