Engineering Applications Specialist- Inside Sales (Edgemont, PA)

This role is customer-facing, technically minded and works directly with our Outside Sales team and manufacturers to craft solutions to customer’s greatest process challenges.

The Role:

Provides in-depth product and applications knowledge as well as sales support.

Responsible for creating an exceptional experience with an assigned customer base. Build and maintain relationships with customers.

Primary duties include all quotations and responses to technical questions along with proposal development for single item and large projects.

Daily interaction with customers, inside and outside staff, manufacturing partners, etc.

You are THE customer advocate for Eastern Controls and our manufacturing partners.

Act as a solutions facilitator: advise customer on correct solution specific to their process and work with outside sales on pricing to win customer’s business.

Clearly communicate with customer from start to finish.

Recognize where supplemental/ additional equipment can be added on to an existing RFQ.

Who We’re Seeking:

Prefer a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering) or Business & Engineering (Sales, Technical Sales, Entrepreneurship)

Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in Inside Industrial Sales.

Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office products and CRM platform.

Major plus - Familiarity with the industrial automation/ process control industry – working with end users, integrators, and/or engineering firm.

Major plus - Technical aptitude – knowledge of instrumentation, gas detection, and/or valves.

Must possess professional sales acumen – consistently striving to grow and develop business opportunities assisting Outside Sales Representatives.

Must live within a commutable distance of our main office in Edgemont, PA. This is an in-office position.

Must have a passion and energy for helping customers succeed.

Must possess curiosity to learn Eastern Controls’ product portfolio to help provide the best solutions for customer needs.

Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
