SUMMARY

Processes orders for material or manufactured items by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Main point of contact for customer.

Edits orders received for price and nomenclature.

Informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by the customer.

Works with estimating / quotations to provide current pricing to the customer.

Performs order entry in JobBoss including material, routings, and delivery. Verifies material stock and advises purchasing of any shortages. Check with production any orders that are not within normal lead times.

Acknowledges customer orders.

Expedites orders.

Watches stocking levels for both raw and finished goods. Advises on reorder points and reorder quantity. Looks for items that are not moving for both raw and finished and those items where increased activity may cause customer delivery delays.

Works with vendors on delivery and expediting

Responsible for contract review.

Files copy of orders.

Routes orders to departments and follows up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.

Enters customer complaints and rejections in Unipoint.

Confers with production, sales, shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments.

Attempts to sell additional merchandise to customer.

Looks at sales reports for changes in activity and reports to salesperson responsible for the account.

Compiles statistics and prepares various reports for management.

Assists with related special projects, as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

One to two years related experience and/or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions. percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Pay: $32,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
