This key role will support the Revenue Management team. The Luxury and Leisure Sales Manager is responsible for growing existing Consortia, Travel Agencies, Business Travel, Tour accounts, and Transient generating new business to maximize transient revenue, profits and market share. The sales manager will be focused on creating and sustaining relationships with key travel partners including but not limited to OTAs, domestic and international wholesale, and luxury travel agent community. The sales manager will play a key role in action plan development and implementation.
Core Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for growing consortia, corporate/ business travel, tour, and transient room revenue and indirectly transient room revenue as determined by Director of Revenue Management
  • Management of the relationship with preferred partners including penetration of account to uncover travel influencers, management of the agency, entertainment, and travel agency/manager relationships.
  • Actively participates in business review.
  • Manage partners, distribution, inventory, blocks, and rates
  • Education of distribution partners through site tours of property, call center presentations, webinars and sales calls
  • Negotiate marketing opportunities with partners to create co-op plans
  • Develop and grow relationships with key customers / Travel Agencies
  • Property content management and continual education of distribution partners
  • Review and disseminate monthly tracking of accounts.
  • Responsible to communicate new account data to reservations and GDS.
  • Responsible for managing the RFP process for all consortia accounts and Tour/Wholesale
  • Ensure professional and courteous service to all accounts.
  • Create and develop ongoing promotions for key accounts.
  • Actively participate in trade shows as needed
  • Collaborate with support departments to ensure customer service and strategy are being executed effectively
  • Travel, entertain and attend trade shows to increase visibility in the market and drive revenues
  • Create and maintain relationships with all luxury and leisure business segment partners
  • Collaborate with senior Revenue Management Leadership on the goals, strategies to drive room nights, luxury suite room nights, and revenue to meet/exceed financial goals
  • Analyze all industry trends, key competitors and customer behavior to alter strategies based on changes and consumer behaviors
  • Oversee all reporting of room nights and revenues of the Leisure Sales and Consortia business segments
  • Work with accounting department to ensure all Leisure 3rd Party accounts are maintained and payments are current
Qualifications:
  • Must be a quick learner and adapt to a dynamic, fluid working environment
  • Must be extremely detailed oriented and have a high degree of problem-solving abilities
  • Experience - 2 years previous experience in luxury market, hotel sales, event mgmt. or hotel operations.
  • Strong communication skills, utilizing English both oral and written form

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Prior gaming experience is highly recommended
  • Technical comprehension of applications pertaining to Sales, distribution, and revenue systems.
  • Experience developing and implementing effective plans to maximize rooms revenue.
  • Identifies business requirements and collaborates with partners
