The Group Sales Manager is responsible for soliciting new group accounts, entertaining and sustaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and/or exceed revenue goals. The ideal candidate is currently a top producer in various group market segments. The key responsibility of this position is to ensure proper solicitation and to reach or exceed budgeted hotel room revenue.
Essential responsibilities include the following:
- Be incredibly friendly, customer centric, and have FUN in a team environment.
- Solicit Group business directly and jointly with others through the preparation, execution, and completion of action plans
- Provide a high level of exposure of the hotel in specific markets assigned by Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Achieve a strong pace and funnel to meet and exceed individual assigned revenue goals.
- Conduct sales calls locally or domestically using all resources provided by company. - Develop/Create exciting and memorable site inspections to accompany inventive and creative proposals.
- Conduct outside sales calls to deliver new business and maintain existing business relationships.
- Develop and maintain market awareness to ensure ability to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategies.
- Assist in developing strategies to increase share from competitors.
- Assist in preparation of complete and accurate end-of-month reports.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual Marketing Plan.
- Develop networking opportunities through active participation in community and professional associations, activities and events.

Qualifications
At least 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office
Maintain consistent verbal and written communication with clients & team
Active listener
Work effectively with other departments
Ability to work some weekends
Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
