Custom Comfort Mattress is seeking a successful full-time Sales Associate for our Orange county showrooms.

Custom Comfort Mattress locally manufactures and sells handcrafted, high-quality mattresses made with natural materials and traditional, lasting craftsmanship. We create genuine, welcoming, customer-focused experiences with the mission of helping our customers get their best sleep each night.

Custom Comfort Mattress was founded 30 years ago and continues to run as a privately held family-owned business. The company’s manufacturing facility is located in Orange County, CA. We operate eight retail showrooms, six in Orange County and two in Los Angeles county.

An ideal candidate would possess a polite, professional manner in your communications is important in maintaining the general atmosphere of a quality showroom experience. You must be able to multitask and prioritize. Developing a comprehensive knowledge of our brand and the landscape in which you work will build credibility with the clients. Knowing how to effectively interact with different types of people and thriving in a one-on-one environment can be important to your work as a Sales Lead.

• Serve clients and designers in a branded, friendly, proactive, and efficient manner with appropriate and timely follow-ups as necessary.
• Builds and maintains an extensive knowledge base of similar local businesses to include designers.

Frequently communicating with clients and others over the phone (including text messaging), the internet, and in-person

The ideal Sales Lead will be able to demonstrate the following:

• The ability to listen, engage and connect with people
• Provide superior customer service in all interactions
• Consistently operate with a drive for meeting & exceeding customer’s expectations
• Effectively suggest the best products based on the customer’s interests
• Ability to resolve and manage customer concerns
• Represent the brand well by demonstrating and modeling exceptional customer service standards
• Effectively educate the customer on the brand’s unique features & benefits
• Understand the importance of conversation and consistently closing the sale

Qualifications:

• Two (2) years of retail sales experience
• Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Prior retail sales experience required
• Must be able to work at our different showrooms in: Brea, Huntington Beach, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, Orange, Irvine. (Schedule will vary based on need).
• Assist the management team in ensuring the store is properly merchandised
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Salary range is $24 to $42 per hour, depending on experience. Generous Sales Incentive Bonus paid monthly in addition to hourly pay rate.
