Position Summary:
The Sales Operation Specialist will provide operational support to the A.D. Banker sales team and leadership. Working closely with the Vice-President of Sales and the President of the Insurance and Securities market unit, the role will be responsible for implementing, operating and reporting on current and future key sales processes within the sales team: deal tracking, CRM management, pipeline management, forecast management, account planning and reviews, territory management, lead assignment and tracking, quota and capacity management, comp plans, sales performance tracking, reporting.
We are looking for a candidate with practical experience working with a B2B sales team who will be able to contribute to the implementation and the improvements of key sales practices and systems. Critical success factors for this role include the ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively in a sales environment, experience with key sales processes and systems, and intelligent balancing of necessary change management with a pragmatic approach to enabling the sales team to deliver their objectives.
Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:
- Own and lead the day-to-day sales operation activities including deal tracking, CRM management, pipeline management, forecast management, account reviews, lead assignment and tracking
- Support the sales planning processes: territory planning, account planning, quota and capacity management, comp plans
- Compile regular and ad-hoc reports on key sales data and metrics.
- Provide thoughtful analysis on management dashboards to facilitate effective understanding of progress, achievements and gaps; includes pipeline analysis, closed deal analysis, competitors, etc.
- Work with the sales team to ensure good CRM hygiene for account and opportunity records. Ensure account and opportunity data in Salesforce.com is accurate. Proactively resolve any discrepancies to ensure reporting is timely and accurate.
- Ensure the sales processes are documented and properly communicated to all the sales stakeholders
- Partner with the VP of Sales and the President of A.D. Banker to help them manage the business and support key decision making
- Partner with the FP&A team to help them with the revenue forecasting and annual budget planning
What it takes:
- 5+ years in sales operation or FP&A with minimum 2 years in a B2B sales environment in technology, education or another relevant sector
- Experience using [please apply online] Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerBi (or similar)
- Experience with key sales processes: pipeline management, forecasting, account planning and management
- Familiarity with the reporting requirements of a sales teams and with the business mechanisms of B2B selling to large Enterprise accounts
- Good business acumen and understand how to deliver insight from data
- Attention to details and ability to balance speed and accuracy
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information to business stakeholders
- Good visual communication skills and experience using Microsoft PowerPoint
