We have an opening for a Product Applications Engineer. The Product Applications Engineer will work with the New Product Development, Sales Support Engineering, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering & Information Technology functions to manage the product configurations within our ERP and CPQ systems. The Product Applications Engineer will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all the products and processes for CDC Corp., including product capability and product configuration. The Product Applications Engineer plays a key role in enabling the sales team to provide application specific support to customers and automate the product configuration portion of the sales process.
Requirements
Essential functions include:
- Development of product configuration tools to bridge between the sales, engineering and productions functions
- Development and management of product configuration tables to enable online product selection and automated creation of bills of materials structures, production routers, product test plans, product tagging information, etc.
- Owns system setup and programming in the CPQ (Configure-Price-Quote) system to convert product configuration rules and data into online sales tools
- Review functional requirements and propose solutions using out-of-the box functionality wherever possible
- Participate in all phases of the ERP and CPQ implementation life cycle including technical analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, and deployment
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional communication and consistent and timely follow up
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Civil Engineering. A minor in Computer Science is helpful.
- General knowledge of SalesForce CPQ administrative functions is a plus
- Object oriented programming, relational databases, JAVA
- Ability to understand and interpret manufacturing procedures.
- Working knowledge of computers sufficient to successfully use company ERP system, Microsoft Windows and Office
