General Description:
The Software Sales Associate position is a business-to-business (B2B) direct sales role targeting primarily new customer acquisition (NCA). JOBPOWER Software is an industry leading Job Cost/Accounting/Payroll software designed for General Contractors and Subcontractors of all trades. This position will be responsible for fielding leads generated through the company’s lead-generation sources, prospecting for new additional leads, and turning leads into closed new customer deals via online program demonstrations. This position will also be responsible for the follow up on support renewals of existing customers.
Technical Skills, Traits and Abilities Desired:
- Preferred minimum of 2 years experience successfully selling high value software in a B2B environment.
- Very comfortable engaging prospects over the phone and via email to identify, develop, and close software deals.
- Able to comfortably relate with a wide range of potential buyers, from lower-level (“blue collar”) managers to top executives.
- Very technology savvy, and able to explain the basics of how locally installed and web-based software applications work.
- Preferred experience in using a CRM system.
- Adept with online presentation tools such as GoToMeeting or MS Teams.
- Able to quickly master and demonstrate for potential customers key features of a Job Cost/Accounting/Payroll software package.
- A background working in accounting and construction office environments is preferred.
- Must be experienced and comfortable using office productivity tools, such as Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.
- Follow-through skills are required.
- General accounting knowledge/experience required
Examples of Duties:
- Receive, quickly assess, and qualify inbound leads.
- Engage qualified prospects to define sales opportunities and rapidly turn them into closed deals.
- Proactively engage with prospects via phone and email over the course of sales cycles.
- Using Sugar CRM, frequently update, and track leads from initial contact to final close of sale in a detailed manner.
- Demonstrate JOBPOWER software products to prospects as required to close sales.
- Work as a team with JOBPOWER management and other employees, collaborating where necessary to win new business.
- Effectively communicate with all parties involved in the sales and marketing process.
- Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
The Software Sales Associate reports to the President of ACS. This is a full-time sales position that requires a considerable amount of time on the telephone and computer. Because we have prospects all over the country, some early morning calls will be expected as well as after hours in some cases. Territory will be within the United States, and accounts/leads may be assigned based on a named account basis.
The working hours are typically 9:00 am EST to 5:30 pm EST, and will average around 40 hours per week.
