Summary The Inside Sales Consultant is a salary exempt position and will serve as the first point of contact for at Pella’s new state of the art Experience Center in Roslyn, NY. This role reports to the Inside Sales Manager. The Inside Sales Consultant should have an entrepreneurial mindset will be responsible for a wide client base which include Architects, Designers, Builders, Remodelers and Homeowners. This person will be responsible for presenting a compelling case for customers to choose Pella
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Answers and accurately directs customer calls for both internal and external customers by asking leading questions and pre-qualifying. Set proper customer expectations regarding the Retail Replacement process.
· Qualifies call-in and walk-in customers to set sales appointments for Outside Sales Representatives.
· Utilizing the Hatch which is our customer database platform that uses text/emails and calls to engage with our client base of architects/designers, builders/contractors and homeowners. Developing client relationships, passing new lead opportunities to management team to assign to reps. Must communicate with clients on new projects, change orders, and provide delivery expectations as well as client issues is part of the dialogue.
· Response time in our customer database platform - Hatch is essential to the success of the Program.
· Utilize our customer database platform -Hatch- to create Trade Show and Showroom Events. Coordinate campaigns to bring in new clients. Tasked to keep invite list, follow up for confirmations of attendees and results.
· Inputs and maintains accurate information in Salesforce- which is our customer relationship management platform. Capture traffic, leads and appointments.
· Develop ability to read and interpret blueprints.
· Follows a structured sales process and delivers project quotation or cost detail. Completes sales transactions which may include handling deposits (checks, credit cards).
· Available to maintain a 40-hour work week, five days per week. Flexible to work Saturday’s as staffing situations needed and be available for specially scheduled Showroom events.
· Comfortable interacting with architects/designers, builders/contractors and homeowners.
· Develop a strong working knowledge of all integrated systems/process understanding and practices self-development via online courses and monitor MyPella our internal database for product updates. Keep an updated awareness of competitive products.
· Administers, verifies, and communicates accurate product or customer information by researching needs/questions with customers, Service, Project Coordinators, Outside Sales Representatives and Management.
· Initiates office stock orders by reviewing on-hand versus suggested levels of supplies, literature, and product samples as needed.
· Maintains showroom for cleanliness and neatness to ensure a favorable and hospitable setting for all customers, including but not limited to: dusting, cleaning windows, taking out garbage. Responsible for taking the appropriate action and contacting those required to resolve showroom concerns.(i.e.; product repair, electrical issues, plumbing needs, etc.)
· Meets company safety requirements by keeping work area neat and clean, following all company safety policies and procedures, and reporting any safety concerns
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years of related experience in sales or marketing. Experience with MS Office Products.
· Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
· Self-starter, demonstrates a strong work ethic and responsiveness to customer needs
· Able to work with details, complexity and follow through
· Able to maintain open and effective communication with cross functional teams
· Works collaboratively with customers and Pella team members
· Eye for detail and appreciation of design
· Adaptable to changing processes and priorities.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
· Occasional night and/or weekend work is required. $50K Base Salary with Commission/Bonus can make $95K+ no cap
Full Time 5 day workweek
40 hours 9-5pm alternating Saturdays 10-4pm
Hiring is for 2 candidates to fill role in Roslyn and our new state-of-the-art Riverhead showroom which is due to open in late 2023.
