Full description of the position
Bobcat of Houston specializes in new, used, and rental compact construction equipment, and compact tractors. Bobcat of Houston offers parts and both mobile and shop service. Bobcat of Houston also has a full line of stamped and decorative concrete products and light construction equipment.
We are seeking a Division Equipment Sales Manager to cover our South territory that will support, develop, and manage an outstanding field sales force, achieving desired market share growth, product representation, customer success, and profit performance. Responsibilities
- Develop territory representatives to achieve the desired revenue, profit and market share results by county
- Partner with the Sales Manager of the North to develop sales strategies to execute equipment sales plans.
- Recruit additional territory reps that fit Bobcat of Houston / Berry Companies culture and performance standards.
- Partner with each salesperson to establish “what is expected” (goal setting), in assigned territory to: promote each product offering, call on current customer base, identify and capture top potential accounts, proactively prospect to grow and expand customer base through cold calls, prospect list, expenses, and mailing list.
- Manage accountability on CRM inputs on a daily / weekly / monthly basis.
- Review each sales representative’s progress on a regular basis
- Plan and hold periodic sales meetings.
- Train by “example and motivation”: prospecting, making presentations, selling against competition, how to price, trade and negotiate, how to close, and how to listen.
- Monitor prospect list and lost orders.
- Inventory Control of Equipment. Work in cooperation with Inventory Manager.
- Process commissions on a monthly basis.
- Work with Berry Companies Marketing Team to provide appropriate digital marketing and all other advertising programs. Constantly evaluate marketing strategy and make recommendations to the President.
- Maintain good working relations with vendors including working with vendor personnel to maximize their contribution to sales performance. Schedule sales training, field calls, and other activities for best results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of territory sales management experience preferred.
- Experience in the equipment (heavy, compact, or material handling) industry or agricultural field preferred.
- Strong leadership, sales and P&L acumen
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and orally.
- Proficient computer technology skills, including the ability to utilize the sales software system.
- Strong analytical, reasoning, and decision-making abilities.
- Organizational ability to schedule, follow-up and meet deadlines of sales team.
- Actively participate with the sales department and offers support.
- Ability to travel to branches and customer sites within assigned territory.
