Estimator / Inside Sales – Lumber & Building Materials

SUMMARY

The estimator / Inside Sales will be performing residential and commercial blueprint takeoffs utilizing estimating software and by hand as required. This position will review plans and specifications and work with the sales team, contractors and homeowners in order to provide an accurate estimate of the materials required for the scope of work. It will also require the coordination of orders in order to ensure proper materials are delivered on time to various assigned projects

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Conduct material takeoffs utilizing software and by hand as required

· Produce product estimates

· Communicate with Salespeople, contractors, and homeowners on product selection

· Place special orders as required

· Coordinate shipment of product between sales and operations

QUALIFICATIONS

· General knowledge of building materials and construction

· Attention to detail is a must

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints

· Professional oral and written communication skills

· Excellent organizational skills

· Excellent computer skills, including Excel, Word, and estimating software

· Strong Interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive, high performance work relationships

· Ability to anticipate, identify, and solve difficult problems in a timely manner

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
