Position: Interior Designer/Sales Consultant

Job Description

The Interior Designer/Sales Consultant position is responsible for understanding clients’ needs and assisting them with their design projects, selection, and purchase of home furnishings. You will be working with clients daily, in the showroom and remotely, and building lasting and trusting relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain business relationships with clients and keeping them updated on new products and special sales
• Working with clients on color selection and plan
• Creating room plans & drawings for clients and being able to present them in a digital format
• Maintain consistent communication with clients before and after sale and delivery.
• Work with team members to provide an enjoyable and positive experience for all clients.
• Meet monthly sales goals.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and desire to continuously improve.
• Demonstrate strong product knowledge.
• Facilitate a relationship between store operations and clients
• Assisting in keeping design center, showroom, and work areas organized.

Skills required include:

• Three to five years of prior sales & design experience
• Proven work experience in decorating interior spaces
• Expertise in layout, color, lighting, furniture, & installations
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3DMax, Illustration or other design program
• Experience in project management
• Customer service skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including Saturdays and holidays
