Job Description:
PCI is seeking an experienced Business Development Professional for its PCI Promatec operations based in Houston, TX. This individual will be responsible for generating business leads in the removable insulating blanket market, ensuring projects are estimated competitively and timely, closing on profitable business opportunities, and working with operations team to ensure successful execution of projects to both PCI and client expectations. Other responsibilities include:
  • Understand the market conditions including competitive approach, backlog, level or risk for work and other factors for establishing margin percentages.
  • Be involved in the internal bid reviews with supervisors and project team.
  • Participate in the customer alignment objectives of the branch by creating and maintaining positive customer relations.
  • Prepares and presents information to prospective clients/owners regarding Company's removable insulating blankets capabilities and experience
  • Communicates with client representatives to gather information and clarification regarding project scope.
  • Research new product development, industry standards and processes to assist in preparing client presentations.
Requirements:
Basic:
  • At least 5 years of blanket insulation experience.
  • At least 2 years professional experience in sales and estimating, preferably in the insulation market.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the year, is required.
Minimum:
  • Must possess advanced proficiency with estimating techniques.
  • Sharp understanding of bidding process.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in team environment
  • Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught
