The company is headquartered in New York City and maintains a distribution facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. Wholesale customers include numerous department stores such as Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Lord & Taylor and Dillard’s, specialty retailers such as EVEREVE, as well as over 1,800 independent boutiques. Additionally, the company also has a fast growing Direct to Consumer (DTC) business via a company owned website ([please apply online] With significant growth potential, Lysse has made it a priority to heavily invest in the DTC channel.
POSITION SUMMARY
Sells Lyssé ready-to-wear collection featuring a wide offering of basic and fashion leggings, pants, tops, skirts, dresses and active wear clothing by contacting prospective independent specialty retailers and boutiques that offer women’s apparel within a defined geographic territory and/or category. The primary focus for this position is to open new retailer doors within the assigned territory. This is a salary plus commission position, located in Indianapolis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Contact individual store managers/owners via telephone to introduce Lyssé ready-to-wear collection and execute a defined strategy through the completion of the sales cycle.
Send samples of Lyssé clothing to prospective retailers.
Negotiate promotional programs with retailer, if applicable.
Maintain and develop (when needed) a list of prospects from resource material or company database.
Establish strong relationship with store personnel.
Keep detailed and accurate records concerning prospects and related sales cycle within company CRM – [please apply online] Perform required number of selling movements per day and meets established sales goals.
Travel from time to time to close a sale or attend trade shows.
Monitor and report competitive activity and trends within territory.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Three (3) to five (5) years of successful inside and outbound sales experience
Experience within women’s apparel industry a plus
