Responsibilities

  • Greets and assists customers in a very promptly manner; provides detailed product information to reach the customers' needs and wants, explains product features and benefits.
  • Inputs customers' sale orders and credit applications in the computer system efficiently and accurately.
  • Thoroughly and consistently communicates with customers about their orders, merchandise, estimated times of wait or delivery, etc.
  • Answers phone calls, responds to customer inquiries, leads customers over the phone to navigate through our website, utilize our E-Commerce, or apply for credit online.
  • Makes phone calls to notify customers of approval of lines of credit and current open lines of credit to be utilized for any needs/wants.
  • Takes payments in the store and over the phone.
  • Prints merchandise tags regularly and tags merchandise appropriately.
  • Assists with inventory of the store including inventory audits, tagging, and staging the store.
  • Assists with the preparation of Sales within the store.
  • Takes action to keep the store looking great at all times; includes disinfecting all surfaces and handles, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning the bathrooms, cleaning sales counters, organizing, etc.
  • Assists store manager in store maintenance and merchandising.
  • Solicits additional business through phone calls and personal advertising techniques.
  • Types up customer Service calls for merchandise.
  • Coordinates Service calls for repair technicians.
  • Takes initiative to perform other responsibilities that are necessary and appropriate for the efficient operation of the store.
  • Maintains a professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Any project assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Customer service experience
  • Computer skills with efficient speed is required
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift, walk, bend, twist, stoop, and kneel
  • Ability to read, write, and use a calculator to perform fundamental math calculations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all members of W.S.B. Badcock
  • Ability to problem solve daily and organize daily work activities.
  • Ability to work independently in the absence of direct supervisor

Job Type: Full Time (30-40 hours per week)

Salary: $20,000 to $45,000

Starting Pay: $9 an hour plus bonuses and commission
